**About us**

Rockland Flooring is a global leader in the Laminated Truck Flooring market. Our manufacturing facility in West Lorne, ON utilizes state-of-the-art wood processing equipment and continuously invests in new equipment and process upgrades.

**About the Opportunity**

The Maintenance Technician will work varied hours. This is a rotating shift position; days, afternoons and nights, as well as weekends, as well as overtime when required.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- 3-5 years of Industrial Maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant
- Industrial Safety, LOTO, and electrical safety experience essential
- Mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent Attendance
- Computer skills using Micro Office Suite
- Wiring and Electrical knowledge
- Previous PLC and controls troubleshooting skills is a definite asset, but not required
- Experience with CMMS systems would be an asset
- Experience with steam/hot water boilers would be an asset
- Supervisor and Leadership skills would be an asset

**Duties and responsibilities **(examples only this is not all inclusive)**:

- Maintains a working understanding of plant production process equipment, systems and facilities to perform maintenance effectively and maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and/or control problems as required by utilizing strong troubleshooting skills and technical manuals, schematics, best practices and site resources.
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on production equipment.
- Observe machines and mechanical operations to determine efficiency and detect problems.
- Perform changeovers and set-ups on various equipment.
- Maintain an organized work area following 6S standards.
- Ability to function as a Team Leader/Supervisor role would be an asset
- Other Duties as assigned.
- Able to commute to West Lorne, ON

This is a full-time, permanent position in our West Lorne location. This position has a competitive compensation rate of $32-$38/hour depending on experience + up to $1.25/hour based on attendance and safety criteria. Additional benefits include Group Health, and Defined Pension Plan, signing bonus of up to $1000.00 and gas subsidy. Shift premiums are paid for Afternoon shift, Midnight shift and Weekend shifts.
