How will you contribute?
- Providing creative and professional talent acquisition solutions in order to develop diverse talent pipelines and ensure the continued attraction of top talent across Canada;
- Acting as the Senate’s brand advisor, creating marketing and branding strategies as well as tools to promote the Senate to Canadians as an exciting employer;
- Developing assessment tools (e.g., behavioral based interviews, in-basket exercises, etc.) and supporting assessments during the selection process;

Open to
The general public to staff one determinate position for a duration of approximately 12 months.
This position has the possibility of becoming indeterminate (permanent) and/or being extended.

Prerequisites
- Successful completion of a university degree Human Resources, Business Administration or another related field, OR an acceptable combination of education and experience related to the specialized activities;
- Significant experience in conducting the full cycle recruitment for various levels of talent across a range of functions;
- Experience building relationships and networks with key customers and organizations, including post-secondary institutions, professional and industry associations, and professional services firms
- Experience in making talent acquisition recommendations and providing expert advice on people centric programs, policies and initiatives;
- Significant knowledge of talent acquisition and recruitment theories, principles, concepts, and strategies;
- Knowledge of talent acquisition and recruitment best practices and industry trends, labour market trends, and talent availability;
- Knowledge of sourcing tools including social media, professional networking sites (e.g. LinkedIn) and associations;
- Possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills as well as teamwork competencies to understand customer needs, develop effective talent acquisition solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction;
