**Role and Facility Information**:
Come work as an Acute Care General Surgeon with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)
The Lions Gate Hospital Division of General Surgery is seeking a full time acute care general surgeon to support the on-call/emergency work in hospital as part of a new Acute Care Surgery (ACS) Service. This position will not include elective resources (e.g. outpatient OR time or endoscopy time). The ACS surgeon will be expected to provide call coverage for 1 week at a time with night-time respite 3 nights per week. The number of weeks are negotiable but a minimum commitment of 13 weeks per year will be required. The ACS surgeon is responsible for rounding on all patients admitted through the emergency department on a daily basis and to provide education and teaching on the ward as agreed upon by the group.
