**Job description**

Kal-Polymers is a constantly expanding multinational corporation with family values. KP is a plastics compounding company providing clean post-industrial recycled/upcycled material to many industries. KP is looking to hire a **Purchasing Agent**who will be responsible for organizing & executing purchasing related tasks.

**Directly Reports to: Purchasing Manager**

**ESSENTIAL TASKS**
- Purchasing of Raw material
- Developing new suppliers through research and calling
- Corresponding with existing suppliers
- Entering Purchase Orders into the system
- Accountable for all purchasing activities, managing suppliers, in a fast-paced high-volume environment
- Work together with purchasing manager and production to ensure a positive, productive, and profitable supply chain.
- Coordinate shipments and receive/track deliveries.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- BS in Business Administration or related field.
- 3+ years of sales / purchasing experience
- Be highly organized, detail oriented, and efficient
- Communicate effectively & comfortably
- Strong team player with the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with Sales, Shipping & Receiving, Production, Suppliers and Customers
- Learn quickly
- Excellent command of the English language (both written & verbal)

Every truck load of recycled plastic Kal Polymers supplies to be used instead of virgin resins saves roughly 1,900 trees via the reduction of carbon emissions.
