Credit and Collections Specialist

As our Credit and Collections Specialist, you are responsible for all credit granting and management and collection all the outstanding accounts receivable from customers. You are also responsible for other aspects of collections, to resolve customer billing problems and reducing the amount of accounts receivable.

Daily activities will include:

- Submit to Equifax to obtain credit report and check credit references
- Assess customer credit report and references and grant appropriate credit and set terms
- Assist in negotiating payment plans where extended terms are required
- Monitor accounts to identify outstanding invoices
- Investigate historical data for each invoice
- Contact customers to ask about their overdue payments
- Take actions to encourage timely invoice payments; ensuring invoices go the correct party to avoid delays
- Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable in Blue Link
- Resolve billing and customer credit issues internally and externally
- Update account status records and collection efforts in Blue Link (F3 Notes)
- Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status
- Provide administration support when required
- Maintain Customer Contract Detail Ledger (Excel Spreadsheet) that tracks profitability of each contract.
- Maintain Recurring Billing File in Blue Link

**Qualifications**
- We are looking for a persistent, hard-working person, who is self-motivated to achieve targets
- High level of integrity and ethical values
- Certified Credit Professional (CCP) or equivalency or enrolled in CCP program
- Minimum two years’ experience as credit specialist
- Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques (e.g., skip tracing)
- Familiarity with laws related to debt collection
- Working knowledge of MS Office; Word and Excel
- Patience, flexibility, and ability to manage stress
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Skilled in negotiation
- Problem-solving skills
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills

**Schedule**:

- 8-Hour, day shift, Monday to Friday.
- No weekends.
