The role of the Child Care Aide is to assist the teaching team in supporting children and ensuring a smooth running of the centers day to day routines. The successful applicant will take initiative, be flexible and adaptable in their role, be friendly, and contribute to creating a positive environment for all staff, children, and families.

Essential Job Functions:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Ensuring catered meals are held at the appropriate temperature,
- Preparing lunch carts with utensils, plates/bowls, snacks and lunches,
- Collect dishes and dispose of food in compost bin,
- Wash dishes in commercial dishwasher and put away clean dishes,
- Perform playground safety checks daily,
- Ensure pathway from the center to the play yard is clear of snow and ice,
- Prepare nap time cots and place them in the rooms,
- Ensure bedding and soiled clothes are laundered, folded and put away,
- Cover Educators in classrooms to maintain ratios,

Hours: 8:30am-4:30pm

30 minute unpaid lunch break

The successful applicant must provide copies of:

- Vulnerable Sector Check
- First Aid/CPR Level C
- Up to date immunizations, including Covid 19
- Safe Food Handlers Certificate (can be obtained after hiring)

*must be able to lift up to 75lbs

*This is a full time, permanent position*

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
