We are seeking compassionate, trustworthy, and flexible individuals to join our team as **Health Care Assistants (Certified) or Aide** **(In house training**) at Evergreen Seniors Home. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality, person-centered care and fostering an environment where both residents and staff thrive. If you're someone who holds a high standard for care, values communication and teamwork, and wants to make a real difference in the lives of others, we want to hear from you
**Why Evergreen?** At Evergreen, we believe in putting our residents first—whether it's providing a bath in the afternoon, serving a fried egg sandwich at 3 AM, or letting someone sleep in without worrying about missing breakfast. Our focus is always on maximizing our time with residents, creating meaningful moments, and ensuring their needs and preferences are met.
This approach may be different from other environments where downtime is common, but here, every moment is an opportunity to support our residents and provide them with the best care possible.
**The Right Fit** We’re looking for individuals who are:
- **Compassionate**: You understand the importance of empathy in care giving.
- **Trustworthy**: Residents and staff can rely on you.
- **Flexible and Thoughtful**: You can adapt to different shifts and care needs while always being considerate of our residents' dignity and comfort.
- **Curious and Engaged**: You’re eager to participate in care planning and contribute to the continued excellence of our facility.
**Your Role as a Health Care Assistant or Aide** In this role, you'll work closely with our care team, providing essential care and support to our residents. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with personal care tasks like bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Making beds, cleaning rooms, and ensuring residents' living spaces are tidy.
- Performing laundry duties.
- Helping with meal preparation and serving, keeping residents' individual dietary needs in mind.
- Providing companionship and engaging in activities to promote socialization and mental well-being.
- Supporting rehabilitation programs and collaborating with other team members to ensure the well-being and safety of our residents.
**The Evergreen Scheduling Culture**
Some people work rotating shifts, some work set days, some prefer 8-hour shifts, other prefer 12-hour. As long as the agreement is fair both ways, we are flexible and accommodating to the greatest extent possible.
Healthcare is a vital service that requires dedication around the clock. To ensure we continue to provide the best care to our patients, we ask all team members to contribute to covering a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays. We understand that these hours can be challenging, which is why we work to distribute them as fairly as possible across the team. By sharing this responsibility, we not only create a balanced and supportive environment, but we also help each other manage the demands of the job while fostering a culture of mutual respect and collaboration.
**Compensation and Benefits**
- Starting wage of **$24.34**(Training) to **$29.83** (Certified) per hour. Full time and Part time available.
- Minimal overtime availability as we prioritize a balanced staffing model.
- **Benefits**: Dental, Extended Health Care, RRSP match, and Vision Care.

- A compassionate and caring nature with strong interpersonal skills.
