**Construction Labourer - Atlantic Road Construction and Paving**

Atlantic Road Construction & Paving is a large heavy civil construction company specializing in heavy civil excavation and flatworks, pipeline placement, concrete placement and asphalt paving. We are currently looking to hire energetic, hard-working **Labourers** to join our growing team in the HRM area.

**Requirements**:

- Must be reliable, punctual and possess a positive attitude.
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
- Able to work as a team and communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers, ensuring all tasks are being completed in a safe and timely manner.
- Valid class 5 drivers licence and/or reliable transportation to and from various worksites in the HRM.
- Previous experience as a labourer, general construction labour, or pipe labourer considered and asset.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Thoroughly inspect tools and equipment daily.
- Participate in safety conscious activities such as tailgate meetings every morning.
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all rules and regulations set forward by foremen.
- Loading and unloading construction materials.
- Perform a large variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour.
- Possibility of working in confined spaces such as trenches, manholes, etc.
- Other various construction related activities as instructed
