ABOUT THE TEAM

The Taxation Group supports the private and public market investments in all aspects of M&A and tax compliance activities. The Taxation Group is located in Montreal and in London; it consists of two sub-groups i.e., the Tax M&A Team and the Tax Compliance Team. This role is based in Montreal and will work with both sub-groups.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

As an Intern, Taxation, you’ll:
- Assist the Tax Compliance Team with Canadian and international tax filing obligations by working closely with external advisors- Work in close collaboration with finance, legal, and investment support teams in completing tax compliance activities- Assist in gathering tax documentation from our partners and various tax authorities e.g., CRS, W8 and residency certificates- Work in close collaboration with our custodian in providing relief at source or reclaim tax documentation for our public market investments- Support the Tax M&A Team with transactional work- Tax research

WHAT YOU’LL NEED- Current enrolment in accounting, law, economics, or finance bachelor’s (or master’s) program with an interest to pursue Tax at the master’s level- Strong capability to manage multiple projects and execute- High level of autonomy and strong organizational and analytical skills- Strong research skills- Curious and willing to learn- ust return to studies after the internship or the internship must be part of your curriculum- Proficiency in English and French (or willingness to learn) (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)- Options include Canadian citizenship, permanent residency or a valid open work permit.
