- Location: Calgary, Alberta ( with occasional out-of-town projects )_

- Reports to: Lead Hand, Project Manager_

Metercor supplies and installs metering products and remote reading systems for water, gas, and electric utilities across Canada. We are currently seeking Technicians who are eager to build on our reputation for excellence by setting high standards for superior service.

**The role includes the replacement of water meters and installation of transmitters located within residential homes and commercial facilities. The work also includes the following**:

- Replacement of water meters and transmitters based on appointments and issued Service Orders (Training provided)
- Replacement of gas ERTs and retrofits as required for out of town projects (training and certification provided)
- Digital data entry though an electronic work order on a handheld device. Accurate capture of information
- Self management of assigned work to completion and within scheduled appointment windows
- Professional interaction with the municipal water department representatives.
- Regular and timely reporting of data with Head Office
- Effective communication with Lead Hand and Project Manager

**Skills and Experience Required**
- Valid class 5 driver’s license, abstract required.
- Criminal background check required.
- Plumbing experience and/or knowledge would be an asset.
- Mechanical aptitude and good technical skills
- Previous electrical/wire splicing experience an asset.
- Strong Customer Service Skills
- A proven track record for punctuality and reliability
- Excellent Troubleshooting skills
- Professional demeanor
- Must be a team player, willing to see all tasks to successful completion
Term Employment (Piece Work)

**Salary**: $15.00-$39.25 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Calgary, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
