**POST MAJORITY SUPPORT SERVICES CASEWORKER**

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
Ø Provide personalized one-on-one support and assistance to young adults.

Ø Promote well-being through an Indigenous worldview, fostering a

holistic approach to support.

Ø Working with interdepartmental teams and maintain knowledge and awareness of all department operations.

Ø Access to intensive treatment.

Ø Coordinate, schedule and attend case conferences and appointments with community providers.

Ø Handling of sensitive and confidential information.

Ø Work with supervisors, management and practitioners to evaluate performance and recommend appropriate courses of action in accordance with HR policies and procedures

Ø Coordinate and organize recreational and social activities that promote

improvement and engagement for the young adult.

Ø Work with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the success of service delivery

Ø Ongoing commitment to learning traditional Indigenous Sunchild approaches.

Ø Other duties as required.

Communicate in a collaborative manner

Ø Maintain confidentiality, discretion, and an ethical perspective.

Ø Report any critical incidents as necessary

Ø Ensure any needs that are required to perform duties and responsibilities are communicated promptly

Ø Work with the interdisciplinary team to ensure success and that deliverables are executed

Qualifications:

- A diploma or degree in social work or related field is necessary. Relevant experence maybe considered.

Ø Municipal or non-profit management, risk assessment, governance, and partnership development

Ø Knowledge and experience in financial planning, budgeting and reporting.

Ø Demonstrate the ability to relate effectively to people of diverse economic, social and cultural backgrounds.

Ø Superior verbal and written communication skills enhanced organizational and advanced computer skills.

Ø Demonstrated experience working with community boards and volunteers.

Ø Knowledge of issues and practices of CFS and the impact on children and families; services to children, family dynamics, and an understanding of the sensitive situations families experience

Ø Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines and work without direct supervision.

Ø Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and clean drivers abstract.

Ø Fluency in Cree and/or Saulteaux

Ø Clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector and Intervention Record Check

Pay: $18.46-$36.79 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In person
