**Registered Early Childhood Assistant(RECA)**
**Responsibilities**
- Daily Reporting and Record Keeping - Attendance, Allergy, Medication, Communication Logs
- Assist in planning an engaging curriculum based on children’s interests
- Assist in the educational and social development of children under the direction and guidance of Lullaboo, and classroom teachers
- Provide support for children in the classroom and enable them to fully participate in activities
- Maintain up-to-date emergency cards, attendance, and health and safety checks
- Work with professionals, such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists as necessary
- Plan programs and curriculum in accordance with “How Does Learning Happen?”
- Support children through transitions in and out of the classrooms
- Manage and maintain an orderly classroom - follow cleaning schedules and room routines
- Meet all classroom ratios as outlined in CCEYA
- Participate and interact in team meetings and workshops
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time
**Specifications**
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels with children, coworkers, and parents
- Ability to utilize with iCare system for all documentation, reporting, and classroom operations
- Supportive attitude, and ability to provide emotional, physical, or behavioral support to children
- Highly Organized, with a strong attention to detail
- Strong collaboration and team player
- Ability to take initiative in and out of the classroom
- Strong problem solving skills
- Proactive in relation to health and safety
**Qualifications**
- Educational background in a related field is considered an asset
- Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check (within the last six months)
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
Pay: $16.55-$18.55 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
