CARE Industries is currently looking for a reliable and self-motivated **Drafter** to join our team and become apart of our growing history.
**Essential Job Functions**:
- Work to prepare layout designs, fabrication drawings, and assembly drawings compliant with applicable standards and CARE’s Quality Program.
- Create technical documents for all products including properties, schematics, and assembly drawings.
- Translate engineering sketches and markups into properly documented drawings.
- Ensure scope, specifications, drawings, and designs are in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
- Improve and maintain system for organization of files/drawings.
- Review and modify designs to reduce production deficiencies.
- Collaborate with members of the project to troubleshoot technical problems and provide advice to production manager/shop foreman.
- Perform Technical Analysis and research to support Product Initiatives and Projects.
- Create and maintain technical documents related to the product such as user manuals, package component listings and design files.
**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**:
- Dedicated team player with strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- Ability to work independently and/or in a team setting while prioritizing projects and managing time effectively.
- Strong conceptual, analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
**Education and Experience**:
- Computer aided drafting and design certificate/Engineering design and technology diploma or 2-5 years related work experience.
- Familiar with Industry Standards (ASME/API/etc.)
- Previous experience designing/drafting equipment related to the Oil and Gas, Concrete or Agricultural Industry is an asset.
**Compensation & Benefits**:
- Salary Range CA$25.00 - $35.00/Hour
- $1.00/HR RRSP Matching after completion of 1 Year of continuous Service
- Alberta Blue Cross Benefit Package including Extended Health care, Dental, Vision, Long Term Disability & Life Insurance, after Probationary period (90-day) completion.
- Overtime after 8 Hours per day and/or 44 Hrs per week as required.
**Salary**: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
