Lead Hand - 310T Truck & Coach Technician (Day Shift)
**Location**: 8050 Woodbine Ave, Markham, Ontario
**Position Type**: Permanent - Full-Time (Day Shift)
**Reporting**: District Equipment Manager
**Start Date**: TBD
**Hours**: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 3:00 pm
**Hourly Wage Rate**: $43.28 plus $3.00 lead hand premium per hour ($46.28/per hour)

**What you will do**:
In the position of Lead Hand - 310T Truck & Coach Technician, the responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Must adhere to Miller Waste Systems safety protocols and be familiar with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Supervise day shift technicians and ensure that all day shift work is performed safely, cost-effectively, and in a timely manner.
- Ensure that the shop and surrounding grounds are clean and organized at all times during the shift.
- Possess the abilities to repair waste vehicles and trucks, diagnose and rectify faults, including hydraulics and electrical systems, as well as perform shop maintenance.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance according to established MWS policies and procedures.
- Liaise with Operations Supervisors and drivers in a professional and team-oriented manner.
- Process work orders as necessary.

**Requirements**:

- Must have at least a valid 'G' Driver’s Licence.
- Strong technical knowledge of equipment is a must.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must have strong self-management and organizational skills.
- The ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is key, as well as working in a team environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is an asset.
- Must be available to work late when behind schedule, and may be required to work weekends and holidays.
