The primary duty of the Crew Scheduler within the Flight Operations Department is to coordinate flight crew resources to ensure we effectively and efficiently schedule trips. The Crew Scheduler will work closely with Maintenance, Flight Coordination and Flight Operations to ensure we optimize flight bookings while meeting the needs of each department.

**Job Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Schedule Flight Crews in accordance with Company policies and Canadian Aviation Regulations

(CARs).
- Monitor and action daily and future flight crew requirements. Re-schedule as necessary.
- Provide effective and timely communication with all crew as it relates to scheduling activity and schedule deviations.
- Communicate scheduling changes to crews as required.
- Drive constant advancements in crew scheduling with the intent to increase crew utilization in a manner which is timely and cost effective.
- Manage vacation requests; make suggestions to the Chief Pilot for vacation approval.
- Schedule and coordinate training and commercial flights.
- Consult with pilots and flight attendants to determine scheduling issues and then build a schedule with the aim to mitigate these issues while still aiming for optimal efficiencies.
- Communicate daily with Flight Coordinators, Flight Operations administration staff, and other supervisors and department managers as needed to ensure proper crew scheduling.
- Communicate with Flight Coordinators on short-term and long-term availability of crews.
- Assist Flight Coordinators where required to support the department needs.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Flight Operations.

**Skills**:

- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills - multitasking, priority management and proactivity.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and monitor records effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with mínimal supervision.
- Flexibility to handle rapidly changing situations and frequent interruptions.
- Previous airline operational experience an asset.
- Aircraft charter service and/or aviation experience with respect to operations and crew scheduling is an asset.
- Knowledge of the applicable CARs crewing regulations.
- Good computer skills; knowledge of FOS (Flight Operations System) is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel.
- Logistics experience beneficial.
- Strong understanding of systems thinking (i.e., both realizing that one piece of an organization has an impact on other components of the organization and navigating that impact successfully).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with proficiency using Microsoft Office

Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to collaborate effectively in a team.

**Qualifications**:

- 3+ years of scheduling experience or similar;
- Experience working in a team environment;
- Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule. This includes evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Aviation experience is an asset but not a requirement.

**Working Conditions**:

- This full-time position requires on site office duties.
- 3 weeks’ vacation.

**Experience**:
