We are a childcare and treatment centre for children with Autism and Special Needs. We provide inclusive programs to ensure all of our clients needs are met. We offer ABA therapy, respite/childcare, speech therapy, and parent coaching workshops.
Our mission is to offer affordable and accesible services to the community and to empower families through our quality programs.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with communication and swallowing disorders. You will work closely with childred aged 2-10, at our center. If you have a passion for helping others improve their quality of life through speech therapy, we encourage you to apply.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' speech and language abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results
- Provide therapy sessions to improve patients' speech, language, and swallowing skills
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
- Educate patients and their families on speech therapy techniques and strategies for home practice
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology
**Skills**:
- Strong patient care skills with the ability to establish rapport and build trust
- Excellent case management abilities to effectively coordinate patient care
- Experience working in a hospital or acute care setting preferred
- Proficient in medical terminology related to speech therapy and critical care
- Knowledge of pediatric speech therapy techniques and interventions
- Understanding of anatomy relevant to speech production and swallowing function
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid license or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Previous experience in speech therapy is preferred but not required for entry-level positions
