**Introduction**:
We are a certified organic blueberry & vegetable farm located in the Township of Langley.

We grow organic highbush blueberries, and sort and pack in our own facility for food retailers and distributors all across Canada. We are also expanding our range of organic produce. We are a 70 acre certified organic farm and believe in growing healthy, locally produced food for our community.

As Farm Manager, you will work, develop and plan with the owners and successfully run our field and production operations.

We are looking for someone who is experienced and passionate about organic medium-scale agriculture, has management and team building experience, and has a commitment to constantly learning and developing themselves professionally.

**Job requirements**

**Languages**:English

**Education**:Minimum -Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

**Experience**:2 - 3 years in crop/vegetable farming (organic knowledge is beneficial)

**Job Duties**:

- Organize, prepare and manage usual activities on the farm such as planting, irrigation, harvesting, grading, sorting, packing etc.
- Plan, schedule and record all farm labour and contracted labour activities.
- Recruit and train farm labourers as required.
- Observe and ensure high quality standards of farm products and workmanship are maintained. Examine all products for quality and accuracy of labeling.
- Operate farm machinery, equipment and implements, such as tractors, harvesters, forklifts, and sorting/packing equipment, etc.
- Maintain spray applicator’s licence and perform sprays as required.
- Organize regular maintenance and recordkeeping of all farm machinery, equipment and tools.
- Scheduling and performing regular grounds maintenance of the farm property. Keeping the farm, buildings, storage and equipment areas clean and organized on a regular basis.
- Planning, ordering and maintaining an inventory of farm inputs including all necessary recordkeeping for Organic Certification and Food Safety Programs.
- Maintain inventory of farm, cleaning and safety supplies.
- Assist in planning of future crops, projects and opportunities for the farm.
- Maintaining accurate Organic Certification (FVOPA) and Food Safety (CanadaGAP) records and performing audits.
- Maintaining accurate records such as, labour timesheets, shipping / receiving and inventory control of field inputs & fertilizers; packaging; stock of products; machinery/equipment/tools.
- Assist in the development and following of farm safety and visitor policies.
- May perform other farm duties as required.
