New Title: Pender Harbour Equipment Operator

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Equipment Operator is responsible for loading different material streams into bins for transport, keeping up with yard cleanliness, answering site questions, and being the point of contact at the Pender Harbour site.

Include but are not limited to,
- Operate heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment including routine cleaning.
- Pushing up green waste when required.
- Managing and organizing the loading of different material streams.
- Attending safety meetings if scheduled. Independently follows up on safety meeting notes signing that they have read and understand what was discussed.
- Steel toe boots, high visibility vest, and other necessary PPE required at all times.
- Follows all Salish Soils policies and procedures.
- Maintain constant communication by radio.
- Assists in screening when required.
- Assists in grinding when required.
- Pushing up piles when needed.
- Work independently and efficiently.
- Reports to Operations Manager.

Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week

**Experience**:

- Heavy equipment operation: 1 year (preferred)
