Carnivore Meats & More is a whole animal butcher shop located in Brentwood Bay. We deal exclusively with local grass-fed beef, lamb, pork, and chicken, as well as making our own sausages and house-made deli items.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

Counter staff provides service to customers that come in expecting excellent service and knowledge about our products. Learning about whole animal butchery and cooking takes some time, and we are happy to help you every step of the way.

Counter Staff coordinate with meat cutters on customer questions & requests, help maintain front display counters and refrigerators, take orders in person and over the phone, help with food prep such as burger and sausage production, and keep a constant eye out for cleanliness.

**HOURS, PAY & PERKS**
- 32 - 40 hours/week, days & length of shift are flexible
- $18.50 - $20.00 to start, eligible for raise to $22.00 after 3 months
- Extended Health & Dental coverage for all full-time staff after 3 months
- Weekly store credit, discount on products, regular food samples & perks
- Must be available Saturday, Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Front counter service, serving & supporting customers
- Light production duties, using recipes to prep sausages, meatloaves, burgers, etc.
- Safe handling of raw meats
- Cash handling/card processing
- Maintaining as clean an environment as possible, regularly sanitizing the front-of-house
- Adapting to a fast-paced environment without compromising standards or quality

**EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS**
- Front counter/cash, kitchen, food handling, and customer service experience are an asset, though attitude and willingness to learn are more important
- FoodSafe 1 is an asset, but not required. We will pay for training to certify.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced environment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 32-40 per week

**Salary**: $18.50-$22.00 per hour
