Reporting to the Director, Safety, Security & Guest Services, the Manager, Transportation is responsible for maintaining and developing the transportation programs of TD Place and Lansdowne. This position will oversee traffic and parking operations including managing and scheduling part-time staff and work a mix of weekdays and weekends according to the event schedule.

We are looking for someone who is a self-starter comfortable working across all levels of a complex organization, and a champion of sustainable transportation options.

**_ What you’ll do:_**
- Promote and monitor sustainable transportation options for both day-today activities and special events;
- Provide information on transit service and route planning on behalf of TD Place and Lansdowne;
- Work with the Events teams to provide timely and appropriate transportation options for all events;
- Prepare departmental inventory sheets, track issuance of uniforms and equipment;
- Collaborate with transportation engineer partners to provide annual reports to the City of Ottawa, and to research, analyze, or resolve transportation issues;
- Manage the marketing program that promotes walking, cycling, and public transit as the preferred mode of transportation to and from TD Place and Lansdowne Park;
- Work with community groups to encourage sustainable transportation. Attend and host meetings;
- Engage with City, NCC, and Site partners to provide comprehensive and consistent transportation planning and messaging;
- Represent OSEG and Lansdowne at City Traffic & Transit, and SEAT meetings;
- Oversee the operational Transportation programs of TD Place, including supervising Traffic Safety and Parking staff;
- Monitor and provide recommendations for on-site pedestrian and vehicle flow, including the parking garage;
- Investigate traffic problems and recommend methods to improve traffic flow or safety;
- Review transportation scenarios to evaluate the impacts of activities such as new events or developments or to identify possible solutions to transportation problems;
- Plan, organize, or manage the work of contract partners to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with program requirements.

**_ What’s needed:_**
- A diploma in a relevant field or acceptable combination of experience and equivalent skills required;
- 3-5 years of experience working in a transportation leadership role directly supervising staff
- Effective communication skills, written and verbal;
- Familiar with presentation programs and tools;
- Highly organized and with a good attention to detail;
- Able to work under pressure while providing great customer care;
- Experience working diplomatically with diverse groups;
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time;
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays;
- Bilingualism an asset;
