Apprentice Carpenter

**Overview**
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Carpenter Apprentice to join our team. We are looking for a newcomer, first or second year apprentice looking to develop their skills in the carpentry trade while working alongside experienced professionals. At McClure Carpentry, you will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of construction, including residential and commercial projects. This role is perfect for those who are eager to learn and grow in the field of carpentry.

**Duties**
- Assist skilled carpenters in constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.
- Participate in tasks such as siding installation, tile laying, concrete forming, masonry work, and flooring installation.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively while adhering to safety protocols.
- Help with construction estimating by measuring and marking materials accurately.
- Support the team in building roofs and other structural components.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure efficiency and safety on-site.
- Follow instructions from supervisors while demonstrating a willingness to learn new techniques.

**Experience**
- Previous experience or coursework in carpentry or related fields is
- Familiarity with hand tools and basic construction methods will be beneficial.
- A strong desire to learn about various carpentry skills, including siding, tile laying, concrete forming, masonry, roofing, and flooring installation.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Must possess good communication skills and be able to follow directions accurately.

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
