**THE POSITION**:

- LutherCare Communities is seeking to contract a Hairdresser for our Luther Special Care Home location. Luther Special Care Home (LSCH) is LutherCare’s first facility, founded in 1955 as Lutheran Sunset Home, a long-term care home for 58 residents. Today, LSCH is an affiliate of Saskatchewan Health Authority. It offers 129 beds for level 3 and 4 care, including a secure 49-bed dementia care unit.
- We are looking for a Hairdresser that is experienced in washes, roller sets, perms, colors, cuts, beard trims and who has experience working with individuals with dementia.
- The Hairdresser position at Luther Special Care Home operates under a contract basis. The successful applicant will pay Luther Special Care Home monthly rent for the use of a room within the site. The Hairdresser will be responsible for providing their own supplies and equipment.

**VACANCY**:We are looking to fill (1) Contract Position

**HOURS OF OPERATION**:Hours are flexible

**EXPERIENCE**:Applicants would typically qualify for this contracted position with successful completion of a Journeyperson Hairstylist course, a combination of education and/or experience and preference will be given to those who have experience working with individuals with dementia.

**THE APPLICANTS**:This position is best suited to a friendly and patient Journeyperson Hairstylist, who has experience working with seniors with cognitive and/or physical disabilities. The applicant must have:

- A valid business license
- Liability insurance and is willing and able to add LutherCare Communities as additional insured on their insurance
- Worker's Compensation Board (WCB) coverage
- Able to provide a valid and clear Criminal Record Check, including the Vulnerable Sector Search.
