The Columbus Centre Athletic Club offers General Fitness Memberships and Executive Membership services at affordable prices. The fitness facility provides an extensive array of personal training options and group fitness classes including spinning, body tone, boot camp, ZUMBA® and Circuit 55+. The Athletic Club also provides various yoga classes, squash lessons, boxing and aquatic classes. With indoor swimming pool, Columbus Centre caters to preschool-aged children just learning how to swim to seniors who enjoy aqua fitness.

We are looking for Squash Instructors that want to bring their love of teaching Squash to our patrons. Squash Coaches provide training who wish to learn how to play squash, improve their squash skills, or compete in Squash tournaments. They coordinate individual and group Squash lessons, house leagues, develop training programs based on patrons' skills, and evaluate patrons’ performance.

**Key job accountabilities include but are not limited to**:

- Assisting patrons in developing and improving various squash skills.
- Assessing patrons'(Junior and Adult) Squash skills to determine areas in need of improvement.
- Coordinating and conducting individual and group Squash lessons.
- Developing suitable training programs for patrons based on their age, objectives, and individual skillsets.
- Developing innovative ways to assist beginner or younger students in learning and remembering the rules of the game.
- Identifying the learning styles that work best for each patron and adapting all coaching methods accordingly.
- Providing a secure and productive learning environment for patrons.
- Attending Squash matches, competitions, and tournaments as required.
- Works closely with the Athletic Director or designate to introduce new and exciting class options to our patrons.
- Ensures all possible safety measures are observed.
- Communicates and enforces facility and class policies and procedures.
- Provides excellent customer service, including interacting with participants and/or parents to answer questions and resolve problems. Must be able to maintain a calm composure when working with angry or upset customers.
- Attends and participates in meetings and training sessions.
- Reports any situations and/or areas of concern to the supervisor

**Desired Qualifications**
- Proven experience working as a Squash Coach or Instructor.
- Squash Ontario Certification
- Vulnerable Sector Police Background/Criminal check
- Sound knowledge of various coaching techniques.
- CPR and first aid certifications.
- The ability to motivate students.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
- A passion for Squash.
