The work schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4pm.
SUMMARY
With supervision, perform various operations to prepare and construct foam sub-components and inserts to fit container configurations of all sizes. Perform manual and mechanical duties to set up and operate a variety of equipment and tools in the fabrication and assembly of a variety of foam and/or plastic containers. Set up and operate tools and equipment and select proper materials for the job.
PRIMARTY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work from written and/or verbal instructions. Maximize stock usage, build-ups and other activities necessary for layout of sub-component and unit construction and assembly for a variety of first-time and repeat insert requirements.
- Set up and perform routine operations including cutting, laminating, pressing and equipment such as vertical, horizontal and profile saws and glue applicators.
- Select stock and cut to proper dimensions and tolerances.
- Layout and glue foam sub-components for final assembly through lamination operations. Perform self-inspections on completed assemblies and final inspection of completed product as certified.
- Pick materials, parts and supplies from inventory. Set up and operate cutting and drilling equipment including saws, glue applicators, assembly tools, drill presses, hand and power tools.
- Perform gluing, taping, flame treating and labeling operations. Perform required masking and painting. Repair to bring items into specification
- Maintain daily production and other records as required.
- Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 0-2 years experience.
- Intermediate computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Must have solid written, presentation and verbal communication skills.

- Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels.
- Must have the ability to complete assignments within the timeframe specified by the Manager.
- Must be flexible regarding working hours and overtime. Must be able to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
- Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Shipping and Receiving experience is preferred, as well as ability to drive a fork truck.
