**Job Purpose**:
The Raw Materials Coordinator is responsible for supporting our Raw Materials Team and Design Team across various categories. This role is mentored through all stages of the raw materials process to source and/or develop high quality fabrics and trims that deliver on Reigning Champ’s product vision.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Research marketplace, industry, fabric trends and presents relevant concepts to RM Manager
- Leverage client insights to inform fabric opportunities
- Participate in fabric/trim briefing process between Design and Raw Materials
- Support RM Manager in sourcing of new seasonal fabrics and trims
- Assist in the tracking and organization of all incoming samples
- Support with follow up of testing, sample yardage and fabric detail sheets
- Support the colour process coordinating lab dips for new and existing fabrics and trims, including requesting and tracking all dips, reviewing dips, and sending comments to suppliers
- Own the cleanliness and maintenance of our raw materials library
- Develop fluent comprehension of the Product Calendar and drive to achieve key deadlines
- Develop strong working knowledge of fabrics and trims
- Understand workflow of cross functional partners and how your work impacts and feeds into theirs - collaborate with Design, Developers, Production, Brand, etc.
- Participate in mill visits
- Visit Reigning Champ retail stores consistently to understand how our product is showing up

**Required**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design and/or equivalent experience
- 1-2 years of related experience in apparel industry
- Excellent understanding of the athletic, contemporary and lifestyle markets, on a global scale
- Strong time management with the ability to prioritize what’s urgent vs important
- Passion for product and têxtiles
- A dedication to quality
- Ability to take ownership and be accountable
- Ability to take direction and be coachable and adaptable
- A team player who enjoys a collaborative work environment
- Eager to learn and develop your skillset
- Can take direction but also has an entrepreneurial spirit
- Strong proficiency of MS Office Suite, specifically Excel
