Chief Geophysicist

**Chief Geophysicist**

Responsible for the development and promoting the technical capabilities of the company.

Role includes:

- Leading the development of solutions for complex geophysical problems
- Assisting in the designing and facilitating proper implementation of high quality, technology driven and efficient seismic data processing workflows
- Collaborate with the Production and R & D Teams as needed to develop and implement current and new seismic data technologies
- Mentor processing geophysicists on seismic data processing technologies
- Engaging with clients and making technical recommendations
- Technical support for the sales & marketing initiatives
- Preparation of technical papers & case studies and present this work at industry conferences and events

Qualifications:

- Minimum 15 years of experience
- Minimum Master Degree in Geophysics

- In-depth knowledge of geophysics and high-performance computing
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Expertise in mentoring, team building, and leadership
- Proficient in project management, strategic planning, and marketing
- Hands-on processing
- Hands-on programming

Experience in the following software packages a key requirement:

- Landmark’s SeisSpace (2D/3D/VSP products)
- Emerson’s GeoDepth & ES360
- Geotomo’s TomoPlus
- Interpretation software i.e. Petrel and OpendTect

Pay: $100,000.00 per year
