Drive Impactful Change in Mental Health and Substance Use Health Planning
Are you an innovative leader passionate about transforming health-care delivery in Ontario’s Northwest Region? Ontario Health Northwest is seeking a dynamic Planning and Integration Lead to play a key role in shaping the future of mental health and substance use health services through expert system planning, integration, and stakeholder engagement.
As the Planning and Integration Lead, you will champion the implementation of Ontario Health North West’s priorities and initiatives, ensuring meaningful progress on the region’s most critical health-care needs. This highly collaborative and regionally focused position is pivotal in supporting stakeholders to successfully plan, execute, and manage a range of impactful projects and programs.
This position is regional in nature, focusing on pertinent needs of the Northwest Region.
Here is what you will be doing:
- Provide strategic advice and input into the development of health-care system funding plans and manage project plans and budget allocations for planning and integration activities.- Identify emerging community health issues and respond using evidence-based planning approaches, including needs-based predictive models and community engagement.- Act as a regional lead—working alongside the System Strategy, Planning, Design and Implementation Teams, and the Capacity, Access and Flow Team—to monitor implementation and ongoing quality improvement of health-care planning initiatives.- Coordinate and conduct comprehensive analyses of the local health-care system, leveraging provincial data, community feedback, and other sources to identify gaps and establish regional priorities.- Promote a culture of high-quality research and planning excellence by providing leadership in developing and advancing methodologies within the health planning profession.- Facilitate effective stakeholder consultations, assess the impact of planning recommendations, and build consensus to drive action on critical health issues.- Participate in and contribute to provincial planning activities, advocating for the unique needs and perspectives of the Northwest Region.- Be at the forefront of driving strategic health system transformation in a region with unique and diverse needs.- Work with dedicated teams and passionate stakeholders across community, regional, and provincial levels.- Lead and influence high-priority projects that directly improve mental health, substance use health, and overall health system outcomes.- Shape future policy and planning directions while advancing the profession of health-care planning in Ontario.
