If so, a position as Shop Assistant may be for you No previous experience is required. In this role you will be providing support to U-Haul Repair Shop personnel, learning the inner workings of the shop, and encountering plenty of opportunities for advancement.

**Shop Assistant Primary Responsibilities**:

- Mount, balance, and dismount tires
- Maintain batteries
- Maintain a clean work area
- Turn rotors and drums
- Rebuild trailer equipment and equalizers
- Assist shop personnel

**Shop Assistant Minimum Qualifications**:

- Valid Driver’s License and ability to maintain a clean driving record

**Work Environment**:
The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g. working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing, or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.

**Physical Demands**:
The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors of remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
