Job Summary
Reporting to the Cleaning and Sanitation Supervisor, the Cleaning Specialist is responsible for carrying out the related tasks to ensure rooms are cleaned and maintained.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Cleaning and upkeep of offices, public areas, washrooms, storage spaces, processing rooms, employee cafeteria and locker rooms,
- Cleaning and sanitation of processing machinery, equipment, and processing areas of the plant
- Complete cleanings tasks as per the company’s standard operating procedures following daily, weekly, monthly and periodic cleaning strict schedules
- Recording of all cleaning and sanitation tasks completion as per the company’s standard operating procedures
- Reporting all security related matter as required by the company policy
- Responding promptly to requests and job tasks as assigned by supervisors/team leads
- Proper use and care of equipment and reporting of defects
- Reporting maintenance defects in the facility
- Keeping housekeeping closets clean, tidy and properly stocked at all times
- Actively participate in the company’s recycling program
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by supervisor, manager or team lead
- Additional duties as required.

- Ability to use computerized equipment and cleaning machines
- Excellent time management skills, diligent and completes work in a timely manner
- Strong attention to detail while addressing multiple competing tasks
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

Other Requirements
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods up of time
- Lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Flexibility to work long hours, shift work and/or weekend work when required
