Yard Labourer

Gibson Livestock (a division of Titan Livestock Group of Companies) is currently looking for an energetic individual to fill the position of full time Yard Labourer located at our buy station in Moose Jaw, SK. (Hwy 2, 8km South of Moose Jaw)

**Responsibilities**:

- Daily pen checks to ensure animal health
- Assist with livestock management including organization of processing and treating
- Shipping of cattle: assist with loading cattle and ensuring appropriate cattle are being loaded; supply manifests to truck driver
- Assist with yard maintenance including repairing slab fences, wire fences, and pipe fences
- Daily checks, maintenance and repair of feed bunks and water bowls
- Clean up of yard, pens, roads, buildings, and fields
- Operate various equipment including skid steer, box scraper, UTV, loader, feed truck and dump truck
- Observe and practice a high standard of cleanliness inside and out of all equipment
- Consistently practices and promotes safety
- Assist with training fellow employees as required
- Remove all trash and recyclables from work area
- Other projects/duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 1 year of general labour experience within a farm setting
- Prior cattle handling and pen checking experience preferred
- Must be able to perform manual physical labour
- Experience operating a UTV required
- Excellent communication and strong organization skills
- Must be self-motivated
- Must have a positive team player attitude
- Must have attention to detail
- Follows policies and procedures and completes tasks correctly and on time
- Treats people with respect; Inspires the trust of others; Works with integrity and ethically; Upholds organizational values
- Accepts responsibility for own actions and follows through on commitments
- Able to work well independently with little supervision
- Is consistently at work and on time
- Physically fit and able to push, pull, lift up to 50+ lbs and to bend and kneel with comfort
- Must be flexible and able to work days, evening, weekends, holidays and longer hours/days during busy seasons
- Must be comfortable working outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
- Excellent command of the English language (reading, writing, oral)
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Own transportation is required
