Siop Planner

**SUMMARY**:
The functional responsibilities mainly include Master scheduling for the assigned programs, ensure demand accuracy, capacity planning support, liaison with supply chain, ops PM, production planners, value stream leaders, support the function in cost reduction initiatives, strategic deployment of planning enhancement toold to support long term strategy of materials management team.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Demand validation - 100% alignment between SAP and customer requirement
- 100% PIR (Planned Independent Requirement) monthly validation. No past due PIR
- Highlight customer forecast risk within lead time
- MPS alignment - Set program MPS rates based on program capacity rates
- Conduct MPS reviews with production planning team
- Actively work on E&O related activities
- Support capacity planning activities
- Active participation and support in all SIOP reviews as needed
- Develop and enhance standard work instructions
- Proactively bring ideas and new processes to ensure systems alignment and improve overall productivity
- Improve process maturity by collecting turn-backs and fixing the root causes
- Participate in change boards and support for actions related to demand
- Track and report key performance indicators and proactively identify appropriate actions to close gaps and to drive continuous improvement
- Participate in activities to include 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and other related continuous improvement events.
- Support achievement of CORE certification
- Work on adhoc business critical activities as needed

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelors degree in a Materials Management discipline and 5 years of related experience in a material planning/ sales inventory control/ logistics/ customer service within a manufacturing and operations environment.
- Advance degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR In the absence of degree, 9 years of relevant experience in a material planning/sales inventory/ logistics / customer service within a manufacturing and operations environment
- Previous Kinaxis/ SAP/ APO experience necessary
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills

**PREFER QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Skilled in database management tools is preferred ie.(BeX analyzer, Crystal, Business Objects)
- Demonstrated leadership and organization skills with a team orientation.
- APICS / CPIM Certificate would be an asset.
