District Technical Manager

What Will You Do:
- Ensure a safe work environment, promotes a safety culture, and actively works to achieve Goal Zero. Promptly reports every incident, near miss, or injury to leader as soon as feasibly possible- Develop budget for the budgeting process for the technical team which will include equipment needs, manpower needs, costs and supporting information for approval and justification purposes- Manage and ensure the technical support team is aligned with customer’s strategy and priorities- Promote a working environment that encourages open communication, collaboration and continuous improvement- Troubleshoot and provide field-based solutions- Assist Sales and Technical personnel and provide direction with day-to-day issues encountered in the field: i.e. wet oil treating, corrosion failures, etc.- Oversee and drive the effort to ensure all field Technical personnel are competent to solve complex customer production problems- PP+D and IDP development with employees-
- Help develop, execute and guide technical sales strategies by functioning as a collaborative solutions architect- Assign appropriate employees to effectively meet customer expectations and defend and grow business.- Organize and distribute projects to technical resources and manage a process to record activity, deliverables and continuous improvement- Interface with customers, showing a technical presence in customer meetings- A strong understanding of environmental and other regulatory requirements such that the aspects are considered and adhered to in the execution of our business- Work as liaison to dispatch technical personnel on centralized projects- Technical review and approval of DREAM/GTRS requests coming from field to RDE as required- Engages in problem-solving by performing and coaching others through system analysis, interpreting data and providing oversight on written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels. Support field activities through interpretation of results and field visits as necessary- Provides a gateway of communication between RDE, Marketing and Sales to help ensure efficient alignment between technology, innovation and opportunity-
- Work with senior managers, when appropriate, to define resource allocation

Position Details:
- Office located in Grande Prairie, AB- Travel up to 20%

Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS in a science or technical specialty- Minimum five years of previous management experience and/or Technical Support- No immigration sponsorship offered

Physical Demands:
- Able to pass a company physical- Able to bend, squat down, and reach above your head- Ability to climb stairs and ladders

Preferred Qualifications:
- Effective time management, ability to multi-task-
- Experience with types of oil & gas operating systems within team’s territory- Experience with coaching and mentoring- Previous experience with people management/team leading- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to adapt to style for a wide range of personalities and experience levels- Superior analytical skills combined with initiative, sound judgment, flexibility, research and decision-making competence- Advanced problem-solving skills
