The **Tŝilhqot'in National Government** (TNG), is the official First Nations government serving the Tŝilhqot'in Nation. TNG is located in Williams Lake, British Columbia and serves six communities which include ʔEsdilagh, Tŝideldel, Yunesit'in, Tl'etinqox, Xeni Gwet'in, and Tl'esqox.

The Tŝilhqot’in Nation (Nation) is a world leader in advancing Indigenous rights and title, as demonstrated by the landmark Aboriginal Title Declaration from the Supreme Court of Canada in 2014. The Nation is currently implementing a ground-breaking tripartite framework agreement (Gwets’en Nilt’i Pathway Agreement) with the goal of transforming, over the next 5 years, the fundamental relationships between the Tŝilhqot’in Nation and the Federal and Provincial Crown governments.

The **Tŝilhqot'in National Government **is looking to hire an experienced **Minute Taker. **The **Minute Taker **will be responsible for attending and recording accurate meeting minutes and taking on other tasks that may be assigned.

**Preference will be given to those of Aboriginal Ancestry - Section 16(1) **_Canadian Human Rights Act_**.**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Attend, record and transcribe minutes of meetings, committees, working groups, and other meetings as required;
- Send draft minutes to the appropriate coordinator for review;
- Format, edit, print, compile and upload minutes in a timely fashion;
- Ensure a tracking system is put in place for allagreed actions and forward to the appropriate individuals;
- Maintain confidentiality of all items discussed;

**Other duties as assigned.**

**Qualifications (preferred)**
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field (Administration, Communications or other) preferred but not required;
- Minute Taking qualification or minute taking experience;
- Superior verbal and writing skills;
- Excellent transcription, writing and word processing skills;
- Proficiency with all Microsoft Office software;
- Exceptional organizational skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines in a professional manner;
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality;
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License and a reliable vehicle;
Familiarity with indigenous organizations and with the Tŝilhqot’in Nation is preferred.
