TDR Transportation & Logistics, a subsidiary of The Municipal Group of Companies is a transportation company providing courier and transport services around Atlantic Canada. We are currently seeking a Fleet Supervisor to join our team based out of our Bedford, NS office.
**Job Summary**:
The Fleet Supervisor manages all drivers and equipment. They provide leadership and act as a liaison between customers, operations, and fleet. This position requires flexible working hours including early mornings hours, weekends and extended travel when required
**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:
Coordinate daily operations with Dispatchers
Reports daily fleet status
Liasson between Maintenance Dept.
Mentors Drivers
Monitors operations and equipment
Conducts tool box meetings and is responsible for a safe work environment.
Monitors work productivity, reports on trends and implements changes to operations.
Participates in hiring, onboarding, and driver files
Performs routine inspections on Drivers and Equipment
Relocate Trucks/Loads when required.
Monitors fleet compliance
Reports to management
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience:
5 Plus years of Transportation/Logistics experience
Class 1 Drivers license
Mechanical aptitude
Experience in a supervisory role
Knowledge of Long haul and Heavy haul industries.
Knowledge of CMVSA and FMCSA
Excellent Communication Skills
Plan and supervise the work of others safely.
A working knowledge of MS Office Software, Outlook, and Excel.
