**Responsibilities**
- Review labeling documentations such as, but are not limited to, product specifications, finished product labels, nutritional and allergen information, for regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with external parties (distributors, vendors, importers, authorities) to ensure that products are legally compliant and meets all Bento requirements and standards.
- Review, create and maintain regulatory information (product specifications, product labels, nutritional and allergen information ) related to ingredients, ingredient formulations and finished products for the Canadian and US market to assess and assure compliance with the corresponding regulatory agency’s policies, regulations, and standards (CFIA, Health Canada, FDA).
- Create finished product labels using software: ESHA Genesis R & D Food Labeling, and BarTender.
- Assist in the product development process to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current food regulations, labelling requirements and relevant technical product and processing information in Canada and US. Assure appropriate interpretation of these regulations and communicate impact to the business.
- Contribute insight to policy regarding country regulatory and policy changes as they relate to labeling as a member of the internal HACCP Team and Food Safety Committee.
- Maintain, catalog, and retain all labeling materials and documentations in accordance with company policies, procedures, and technologies.
- May be required to work on special projects and other duties/responsibilities on a periodic basis.

**Qualifications**
- College / University degree in Food Science / Nutrition / Quality Assurance or related degree.
- 1+ years of experience in Quality Assurance / Regulatory Affairs / Product Development (coupled with Regulatory Affairs) role within the food industry.
- Knowledge and understanding of Canadian (CFIA, Health Canada) and US (FDA) regulatory requirements.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with a high attention to detail. Demonstrates flexibility with changing priorities and demands.
- Excellent and rigorous documentation practices and change control processes, such as revision control.
- Experience with using Food Labeling software - Genesis.
- Bilingual French and English, written and spoken would be an asset.
