High Reach Forklift Operator

_Brimich is a family owned and operated 3PL & warehousing company. We are a growing organization and currently looking for dependable and dedicated **Forklift and High Reach Operators** to join our winning team at our Brantford Freezer facility._

**The Freezer facility temperatures range from -5 to -18 degrees Celsius. **Freezer PPE is provided.**

**Available shifts**:

- _**Afternoons 3 pm - 11 pm / **Monday-Friday**_
- **_Nights 11 pm - 7 am /Sunday-Thursday_**

**Job Summary Statement**:
The Material Handler role picks orders, ships, receives and records the movement of product to and from our warehouse facilities.

**Essential Functions & Responsibilities**:

- Ensures that all safety regulations with regards to the safe operation of a lift truck (including pre-shift inspection) and safe handling of materials are adhered to.
- Stages and prepares shipments in accordance with the shipping schedule and daily shipping instructions.
- Accurately labels and scans shipments
- Audits the condition of each shipment prior to loading. Ensures trucks are loaded properly and safely.
- Ensures all shipments leave on time with the necessary documentation.
- Sends ASNs (advance shipping notice) to customer with customers which this procedure applies to.
- Keeps shipping packaging and stock areas organized and neat and manages stock rotation (first in first out)
- Receives incoming packaging materials returned from customers and stores it in a neat and orderly fashion. Records receipt.
- Assists in regular inventory audits as well as spot checks, as required.
- Complies with the designated HACCP responsibilities related to effective environmental management in accordance with Brimich HACCP Program.
- Communicates to management when incoming loads arrive without proper documentation/paperwork
- Ensures that all required paperwork is signed
- Reports to management any damages to the facility or damage to customer or Brimich property.
- Performs all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all Health, Safety and Environmental rules and regulations.
- Always wears prescribed Personal Protective Equipment
- Keeps work area clean and safe. Creates additional space by effectively storing materials.
- Performs backup duties (i.e. receiving) as required.
- Treats everyone with dignity, trust and respect.
- Performs other duties as requested by supervisor or management.

**Job Specifications—Skills and Competencies**:

- **High-reach stand-up counter-balance truck (Crown) **experience
- **Previous refrigerated/freezer experience preferred, but not required**:

- Grade 12 High school education or equivalent
- Minimum 1 - 2 years related experience
- Able to speak, read and write in English
- Computer skills include use of MRP system (ASN, Scan, Shipment/receipt entry)
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attendance record
- Assigns the highest priority to customer satisfaction while meeting commitments to achieve business objectives
- Creates a positive work environment by demonstrating and sharing functional/technical knowledge
- Responsible for promoting and seeking excellence in all aspects of business
- Capable of regular safe lifting up to 60lbs
