We started out as a traditional butcher counter selling everyday cuts of meat and have now evolved into a destination gastronomic experience. We’re honoured to provide a lively and dynamic operation ranging from full-service specialty grocery store to a casual & contemporary restaurant, to a stylish event space.

**We are seeking a Retail Sales/Grocery Clerk for our Market**

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**:

- Greet and interact with customers of diverse backgrounds with a positive attitude to create a positive shopping experience.
- Assist customers by providing correct information and making suggestions on items they may need for their purchase.
- Completing order sheets for market, catering and butcher items for customer pick up or delivery.
- Process customer orders and get the products ready for delivery driver.
- Safely and accurately restock product shelves, face and rotate current stock, dust and ensure satisfactory inventory levels.
- Control inventory and inform managers in case of low inventory levels.
- Remove all items nearing expiry according to company policy.
- Create and build product displays and ensure proper facing of products.
- Handle product damages and credits/refunds according to company policy.
- Process customer orders and payments through cash register POS system.
- Assisting butchers with packing prepared items as needed.
- Assist in the receiving, storing, and stocking of products while ensuring proper product rotation and quality.
- Confirm the accuracy of both order and invoice.
- Prepare store displays and ensure that products are accurately labeled.
- Participate in all manner of store maintenance and cleanliness.
- Nightly cleaning of the meat/deli counter.
- Keep department areas neat and comply fully with health and safety standards and procedures.
- Maintain a high level of customer service.
- Participate in merchandising and promotional activities.
- Perform other duties and assignments as directed.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
This position generally consists of:

- Standing and/or walking up to 8 hours a day.
- Occasionally lifting and/or carrying up to 50lbs.
- Occasionally pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
- Occasionally required to walk one or more flights of stairs.

Wage: $17-$20 per hour based on experience

**Salary**: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
