**Description**:
Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring Category Manager, Deli Prepared Foods on a temporary (for approximately 18 months) basis at our Home Office in Saskatoon, SK.

**What you’ll do**:
You will develop and execute category plans for food locations that operate in the Co-operative Retailing System. Your primary responsibility will be in the areas of product assortment and marketing.
You will conduct category reviews, identify opportunities, and manage product assortment to maximize category development.
You will maximize category performance through the introduction of new and innovative products and programs with a focus on speed to market. You will implement and utilize business Intelligence tools to assist in this process.
You will guide the development and coordination of plan-o-grams to ensure category goals and objectives are achieved.
You will develop and implement marketing/promotional opportunities through the central flyer and other marketing initiatives and ensure they are delivering on category strategies.
You will be responsible for all vendor negotiations regarding marketing, promotional support, and cost of goods.
You will coordinate with the Retail Pricing team to decide on category performance improvements.
You will establish and maintain strong working relationships with the supplier community.
You will ensure that the vendor community is providing category expertise to assist in all areas of the category management process including product assortment, marketing, shelf management, and pricing decisions.
You will source and negotiate pricing with the vendors on items and supply for CRS deli departments.
You will collaborate with the Store Brands Manager, and the Operations and Product Specialist to develop and bring new private label products to market. Why it matters:

**Who you are**:

You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing.
You have a minimum of 6-9 years of relevant progressively responsible experience (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
