The Plasma Table General Laborer plays a crucial role in supporting the operations of the plasma cutting department. This position involves assisting with various tasks related to the preparation, operation, and maintenance of plasma cutting equipment. The General Laborer ensures smooth workflow and contributes to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the plasma cutting process.

**Essential Functions**:

- Assist in the setup and preparation of materials for plasma cutting operations.
- Load and unload metal sheets onto the plasma cutting table using appropriate lifting equipment or techniques.
- Clean and deburr metal materials to remove surface imperfections and ensure proper cutting quality.
- Operate hand and power tools to perform tasks such as grinding, drilling, and cutting as needed.
- Support plasma table operators by supplying them with materials and assisting in the positioning of workpieces.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on plasma cutting equipment, such as cleaning and lubricating machine components.
- Assist in the inspection and quality control of cut parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for oneself and others.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and address any issues or concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and safety.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred.
- Basic understanding of metalworking processes and equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and procedures.
- Knowledge of safety practices and procedures in an industrial setting.

**Physical Demands**:

- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, often weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Stamina to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
