**Dermatologist**

**Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Assessing clients’ skin diseases, conditions, and ailments to determine appropriate treatment
- treating of skin conditions from start to finish, from the first consultation and diagnosis right through the treatment plan, reviewing progress and adjusting as necessary
- Perform skin cancer screenings
- Prescribing medication and creating treatment plans
- updating clients’ medical notes and history in the computer system
- Informing and educating clients on available treatments and preventative skincare
- Referring clients to other specialists as needed
- Keeping up to date with new medical procedures, topics, and scientific studies by attending seminars, conferences, and training programs
- Adhering to infection-control policies and protocols to protect clients and employees
- conducting cosmetic procedures

**Patient Care and Communication**:

- Follow up with patients, providing guidance and clear communication on homecare instructions and treatment expectations.
- Must be open to seeing walk-in clients

**Qualifications**:

- Completed their residency in Dermatology
- Must be registered and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
- Excellent attention to detail during consultations with patients and reviewing medical records
- Strong clinical diagnostic skills
- Proficiency with dermatological tools such as comedone extractors, lancet extractors, and cryogens
- Experienced with performing the following services: allergy education, allergy skin tests, botox injections, chemical peel, conscious sedation, cosmetic surgery, dermabrasion, dermal (soft tissue) fillers, dermatologic surgery, facial fillers for wrinkles, laser hair removal, laser resurfacing, light therapy for skin, mole removal, tattoo removal, skin cyst removal, platelet-rich plasma injections, scar revision, sclerotherapy and UV light therapy

Pay: $176,285.40-$468,678.36 per year
