**Construction Project Planner/Scheduler**

**Location**:Markham/Quebec or Remote

**Schedule**: Hybrid from Markham and Quebec; remote from other locations

**DESCRIPTION **-Seeking an experienced high-performing contractor position for a Construction Project Planner/Scheduler for our client of a $2.5B strategic business unit inside of Client’ Global Building Technologies Business. They install and maintain the systems to help keep buildings and facilities connected, safe, secure, comfortable, and cost-efficient and are a leading provider of energy efficiency solutions worldwide.

**Responsibilities**
- Create, review, update and administer project schedules in company standard tools (MS Project, Primavera P6, Cora PPM)
- Liaise with engineers, project managers and other project team members to keep schedule updated and identify project issues and drive consistency of the project scheduling approach to facilitate accuracy in project execution and reporting.
- Liaise with customers to review and align project schedules seamlessly to their schedules.
- Request and guide the development of sub-contractor project schedules.
- Keep customers updated on progress and organize meetings and presentations to discuss project plans and associated issues and opportunities.
- Work to prepare reports and updates for internal project reviews.
- Integrate multiple schedules into a master project schedule, baseline, update status, and perform KPI measurements.
- Develop and maintain summary level schedule reports: Gantt, milestone charts, and other tools used to support critical path analysis, near-term tasks work, priority-based resource allocations, performance variances, and to support cost/schedule integration.
- Gather and analyze information to prepare reports on the progress of projects. If required, travel to project sites to review and update construction progress.

**Basic Qualifications**
- Minimum of 3 years of experience using MS Project, Primavera P6, Asta or Cora PPM
- Knowledge of cost estimating, tracking and control
- Minimum 3 years of experience in resource loading the schedule.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in & cost loading the schedule.
- Some hands-on experience with enterprise-wide cost accounting system, SAP preferred (but not mandatory)
- Being ambitious, self-motivated, hard-working, results orientated, problem solver with a positive attitude.
- Ability to balance between short term achievement and long-term development.
- Being a natural forward planner who critically assesses their own performance.
- Strong communication skills

**Preferred Qualification**
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree / experience combination in construction and/or engineering and/or project management
- Advance Knowledge of Microsoft office suites
- Knowledge of business and commercial concepts and processes, including contracts, budgeting and project financial management, and cash flow
- Certification from PMI or equivalent.
