**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Provide personal care services, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
- Monitor patient health and report any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Assist with medication reminders and adherence.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare providers to create a supportive care plan.

**Skills**
- Strong ability in patient care, demonstrating empathy and patience.
- Experience in home care settings, including nursing homes or hospice environments.
- Knowledge of caregiving techniques for individuals with disabilities or special needs.
- Competence in meal preparation tailored to dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting clients.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and families.
- Ability to maintain a clean living space while respecting client privacy.

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Markham, ON L3S 1K4: reliably commute or be willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (preferred)
