Full-time Warehouse Technician

**JOB DESCRIPTION** The Warehouse Technician will primarily be responsible for both preparing and returning audio-visual and event equipment in company warehouses. This position will also be responsible for assisting in maintaining, tracking, updating and organizing the contents of the warehouse to ensure inventory is available and packaged appropriately for future events. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this position is comprised of an average 40-hour work week with the expectation that flexible and overtime will occur. This position is based out of our Toronto warehouse and is in-person/on-site. **Key Duties** - Prepare and return audio-visual and event equipment - Learn and maintain a sound knowledge of the customized rental software (Intellivent Lightning) - Tag, mark, or label inventory and ensure they are placed in correct storage locations - Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift, including daily reports, equipment inspection logs, etc. - Manually load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, trucks and lifting devices - Operate lifting devices such as forklifts and hoists - Report any discrepancies in inventory to the Warehouse Manager or Equipment Manager. - Receive and process warehouse inventory and consumable products - Adhere to established safe working procedures and wear the proper safety equipment at all times - Provide feedback to management regarding noted equipment problems when they return from events - Assist in cargo handling, loading of vehicles and trucks, and secure loads in accordance with established safety requirements - Assist with inspecting "cross-rented" inventory items from vendors and verify quantity and condition for both incoming and outgoing items prior to signing off; reject damaged or incomplete inventory - Assist with general warehouse organization and upkeep - Participate in department and company meetings when requested and offer ideas or solutions to warehouse and other challenges - Provide orientation and direction to freelance or temporary contractors operating and assisting in warehouse operations - Take initiative to vocalize systems or inventory you would like to become more fluent with and set goals towards achieving them - Set a positive example amongst colleagues and liaise with clients in a polite and professional manner **Core Competencies** - Commitment to Health & Safety - Cooperation - Ownership - Teamwork - Time Management **Additional Terms** Reports To: Warehouse Manager **Working Conditions** - Flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays - Occasional overtime - Work in person/on-site at our Toronto Warehouse - Operation and use of necessary tools, machinery or equipment - May involve extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions - Lifting, moving, or manipulating objects up to 23 kilograms (51 lbs) **Compensation** Total compensation starts at $22 on an hourly basis.
