**role summary**

We are recruiting for a Testing Technician who will be responsible for functional testing, troubleshooting and repairing PCB Assemblies in our fast paced and quality-oriented manufacturing facility.

Hours of work for this role are **Monday to Friday, 3:30 pm to midnight. The starting wage for a level I Technician is $19.25, a level II Technician starts at $20.25 (Level 2 requires formal education (college or university) specific to electronics/engineering.**

  • Technical degree in electronics and/or demonstrated and related experience
  • Ability to understand technical documents such and schematics
  • Operational knowledge of test equipment
  • Knowledge of electronics and ability to troubleshoot
  • Ability to work within a group or individually when called upon
  • Excellent attention to detail skills
  • An average level of comfort with computer based and computer-controlled systems

**responsibilities**

  • Running functional testing on units
  • Soldering of SMT and Through Hole parts
  • Usage of digital multimeter for resistance test, capacitive, diodes, frequency testing, temperatures
  • Usage and setup of power supply (voltage and current)
  • Usage and setup of function generators (voltage and frequency)
  • Usage of multi-frequency meter for the following tests (Inductance tests at specific frequencies, Resonant frequency test, Capacitance)
  • Perform dielectric strength test (hi-pot) for performing breakdown tests
  • Usage of oscilloscope to test and troubleshoot
  • Programming of various IC’s
  • Perform troubleshooting of any internal failures or RMA’s to determine root cause of failures and complete corrective actions including rework of the circuit board assembly
  • Perform daily duties as per work instructions and/or Supervisor
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation on day-to-day, job-to-job basis
  • Strong communication with Quality and Engineering groups
