THE POSITION

Lead, Inspire, and Develop a finishing team in a manufacturing setting. Operate a top of the line Automated Spray Line. Plan the finishing production schedule, over-see quality control, training, defect diagnostics and perform finishing work.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience preferred but not required
- Ability to maintain a high attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills
- Punctual and dependable
- Multi-tasking, prioritizing and problem solving abilities
- Able to stand all day and do repetitive tasks
- Teamwork skills are a must

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hand Sanding / Prepping
- Solid Wood and Wood Veneers
- MDF / HDF (Medium and High Density Fiberboard)
- Primed / Painted parts
- Minor repairs (using wood filler and/or bondo)
- Wiping stains
- Quality control
- Attention to detail
- Basic understanding of Sanding/Prepping and Finishing principals
- Some computer use (signing in and out of work)
- Ensure finishing line, spray booth and all finishing tools are properly maintained
- Keep accurate records of procedures
- Monitor inventory of supplies and request for replenishment
- Be a team player, contribute to a positive team atmosphere
- Other duties as assigned

**Salary**: $20.00-$26.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cobble Hill, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- cabinet finishing: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person
