**ASSEMBLER**

As our **Assembler**, you will work closely with the Assembly Supervisor, experience challenges and rewards and have an opportunity to shape and influence our environment.

**We are seeking a person with the following skill set and competencies**:

- Grade 12 (OSSD) or equivalent education.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment a significant asset.
- Related certifications, courses or diploma from a recognized post-secondary school is an asset.
- Demonstrated positive attitude, initiative, the ability to work well with others and mínimal supervision.
- Ability to perform physical labour for extended periods.
- Forklift experience would be considered an asset.
- Having a working understanding of the ISO 9001 quality management system is an asset.
- Willingness to learn new skills and desire to accommodate requests.
- Familiar with MS Word, Excel, ERP systems and ability to quickly adapt to J/E’s ERP system Job Boss.
- Available to work overtime as business demand requires.
- Must provide a clean criminal record check upon hire.

**Your skills and competencies will help you**:

- Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications and parts list.
- Utilizing and maintaining assembly parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.
- Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Verify specifications by measuring completed component.
- Resolve assembly issues by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notify Supervisor to obtain additional resources.
- Operate tools to de-burr and clean parts as well as other various equipment upon completion of required training for fiber laser, cold cut saw and CNC router.
- Keep equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance requirements, follow manufacturer’s instructions, trouble shoot malfunctions and call for repairs.
- Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Participate in 5S, company initiatives, meetings and safety conversations as required.

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
