Environmental Public Health Officer/supervisor

The Environmental Public Health Officer/Supervisor works collaboratively with BRT6HC communities to identify and prevent environmental public health risks. The EPHO/S provides guidance, education, public health inspections and recommendations on matters relating to the day-to-day operation of BRT6HC Environmental Public Health Program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
University degree in Environmental Health or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
Three years of experience in Environmental Health, with experience in supervising.
A clear understanding of Environmental Public Health
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated organizational skills, with an emphasis on collaborative problem solving.
Demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive information and documents, exercising confidentiality, discretion, good judgment, and exercising tact, courtesy, and diplomacy always.
Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility and adaptability to balance the changing needs of the organization.
A successful criminal record check with the vulnerable sector.
Proficient with computers, i.e., Microsoft Office 2011, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
Experience working with a First Nations organization and familiarity with First Nations culture, history, and governance is considered an asset, and a willingness to learn about and accept First Nations culture.
Must possess a valid Saskatchewan driver’s license.
Must possess a successful criminal record check with the vulnerable sector.
