**Reports to **Vice President, Content

**Job purpose**

The Editor is responsible for the researching, writing, and editing/proofreading of QuickSeries guides, outreach material (trifolds, posters, wallet cards, etc.), app content, sales and marketing material, and content for proposals or presentations. This position works closely with graphic designers, sales account managers and marketing teams.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Manage full editorial life cycle (from content creation and design to final approval and preflight) to deliver well-written, engaging and grammatically sound final products within set production timelines
- Research and write custom and generic QuickSeries guides and outreach material while strictly adhering to internal style standards
- Carefully edit and proofread projects for clarity and proper grammar to ensure quality standards are met prior to print
- Meticulously fact-check content of reprints to guarantee all information is accurate and up to date
- Write and edit marketing material including, but not limited to, social media posts, product spotlights, presentations, proposals and other sales collateral
- Collaborate with designers on photo selection and mockups; clearly communicate client’s design wishes to graphic design team
- Adapt print versions of books and convert them into dynamic, user-friendly eGuides
- Accurately track time spent on each job and enter in time-tracking system on a daily basis

**Qualifications**

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English Literature, or related field

**Skills**:

- Superior writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to seamlessly adapt writing style for various audiences
- Grammatical expertise and skillful editorial judgment
- Able to balance simultaneous projects and smoothly jump from one topic to another
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Detail-oriented with ability to multitask
- Good organization, prioritization, and time-management skills
- Work well within a deadline-driven, multi-project team setting
- Self-motivated - takes pride in a job well done
- Must possess strong communication skills and be able to give and receive critical feedback within a small team environment
- Ability to work independently within a remote office setting, while consistently maintaining open lines of communication with team members and sales account managers

Technical knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and WordPress
- Experience using a CMS preferred

Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as an editor in a related field (healthcare, education, government), preferably in a production or publishing environment
- Familiarity with SEO, SEM, marketing and social media best practices a plus

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 8 months

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
