MasTec Canada is currently recruiting for a Journeyman Instrumentation Technician to join its Industrial Division in support of building pumping stations **_near Fox Creek, AB. This is a six (6) month camp based role, on a rotational schedule, 15 days on, 6 days off._**
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Conduct installation of tubing systems and supports
- Provide supervision, work layout, and all necessary material take offs to complete work scope
- Installation, calibration, troubleshooting and testing instrumentation equipment
- Consult manufacturers' manuals to determine test and maintenance procedures
- Use pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing devices to inspect and test instrument and system operation and diagnose faults
- Calibrate and maintain components and instruments according to manufacturers' specifications
- Install and maintain instruments on new or existing plant equipment and processes.
- Installation of pneumatic and process tubing as well as required support structure planning
- Conduct Hydrotesting and QAQC of all installed equipment
- Manage one to two employees
- Interpret blueprints, circuit diagrams and schematics
- Assist with electrical scope, as required
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Journeyman Instrumentation Technician Certification
- Previous compressor station construction experience is an asset
- Previous supervisory experience is an asset
- Preference will be given to applicants with Fall Protection / AWP Lift certification

- Valid Class 5 driver’s license is required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

- Effective attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules
