**Position Overview**
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our fast growing team on a 12-month term contract. This role involves day-to-day property care, preventative maintenance, and responding to work orders across residential and resort properties. You’ll work closely with our senior maintenance lead and operations team to ensure properties are well cared for and clients receive excellent service.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Complete daily work orders (repairs, replacements, troubleshooting) using our Upkeep system.
- Perform preventative maintenance checks (boiler rooms, parkades, lighting, common areas, etc.).
- Carry out light carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC troubleshooting.
- Participate in daily team meetings to review schedules and goals.
- Attend the weekly operations meeting with the management team.
- Liaise with property managers and owners professionally and courteously.
- Ensure health & safety standards are followed at all times.
- Maintain accurate reporting of hours, parts, and completed work through our Up keep system.
- Support pool operations, including nightly pool closure at 10pm.
**Qualifications**
- Prior maintenance or building operations experience (1-2 years preferred, but not essential).
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or HVAC an asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work (lifting, bending, working on ladders).
- Good communication skills; reliable and professional demeanour.
- Class 5 driver’s license requirement is a must.
- Pool operator certificate or trades certificates (an asset)
**Schedule**
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Some flexibility required for after-hours or weekend call-outs.
